GAME NOTES: The Towson Tigers try to make it three straight wins on Saturday afternoon, as they pay a visit to the Drexel Dragons in Colonial Athletic Association action at the Daskalakis Center in Philadelphia.

After losing four in a row, Towson has rebounded with back-to-back wins over Oregon State and UNC-Wilmington. The Tigers were victorious over the Seahawks on Wednesday, as Jerrelle Benimon scored 19 points in a 79-74 road decision to kick off their CAA slate.

Benimon also contributed eight rebounds, five assists and five blocks for Towson, which has won two straight road games for the first time since the 2005-06 season. Bilal Dixon tallied 14 points and eight boards, while Mike Burwell and Marcus Damas scored 13 and 11 points, respectively.

Drexel also opened conference play with a win on Wednesday, as Frantz Massenat matched a career-high with 25 points to lead the Dragons to a 77-60 victory over the Georgia State Panthers.

Massenat, who was coming off a season-low five points in a loss to Saint Joseph's earlier in the week, shot 9-of-15 from the floor and was perfect from the free throw line (6-of-6). The Dragons also got 15 points from Damian Lee and 13 off the bench from Tavon Allen. Daryl McCoy was dominant on the glass, pulling down a game-high 14 rebounds.

Drexel beat the Tigers twice last season, and has won the last seven meetings between the two.

With the loss of Chris Fouch to an injury early in the campaign, Lee is now the primary offensive threat for Drexel with his 18.5 ppg, which also makes him one of the top scorers in the CAA at the moment. Massenat also averages 13.5 points and is second in the CAA with 4.4 assists per game. Unfortunately, the team overall is generating just 64.6 ppg, which doesn't quite cut it when the competition is coming up with 66.2 ppg.

The 79 points scored by Towson on Wednesday matched its season-high, as all eight players who took the court for the team scored. The 44-point first-half was the most scored by the Tigers in an opening stanza this season, and matched the 44 points scored in the second half at the College of Charleston for the most points in any half this year. Towson has now scored 69 or more points five times after not surpassing 69 points in any game last season. They are also outrebounding their opponents by 5.5 boards per game. Benimon leads the team in scoring (16.4), rebounding (11.4) and field goal percentage (.546).

Towson may have its hands full is this one, as despite Drexel being nothing special, it has held four of its last five opponents to 63 points or less. The home team should prevail.

Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Drexel 69, Towson 62
