GAME NOTES: The TCU Horned Frogs seek a fourth consecutive win on Saturday evening, as they open Big 12 Conference action against the Texas Tech Red Raiders at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.

TCU needed a late rally last Sunday to get past Mississippi Valley State, but scored seven of the game's final nine points to cap a 67-64 come-from-behind win. Kyan Anderson led the way with 16 points for the Horned Frogs, while Garlon Green chipped in with 15 points and seven rebounds.

The Frogs improved to 7-2 at home, and finished their non-conference schedule with the best winning percentage (.692) for the program since going 10-4 (.714) in regular-season non-league games in 2004-05.

Texas Tech, meanwhile, won its second straight game on Monday against Florida A&M, as Trency Jackson and Josh Gray each scored 10 points in the 70-56 triumph.

The Red Raiders, who will be playing their first road game of the year here, lost to TCU last season and have dropped three of the last four in the series. However, Texas Tech has traditionally owned its Lone Star State rival, taking 72 of the 119 overall matchups.

In the win over Florida A&M, Jordan Tolbert added nine points, 10 rebounds and two blocks, while Dejan Kravic had eight points, eight rebounds and two blocks for Texas Tech, which connected on just 39 percent of its field goal attempts. The Red Raiders did convert 84 percent from the foul line, marking their best performance in 30 games, dating back to last season. In recent weeks, the Red Raiders have really struggled to find their shot from beyond the arc and that was the case on Monday, as they hit just 3-of-14 from downtown. Texas Tech has done a good job in forcing turnovers and eclipsed 10 steals in a game for the sixth time this season -- the team ranking first in the Big 12 and 15th nationally in steals at 10.1 per game. Even though he has spent the entire season coming off the bench, Jaye Crockett (15.2 ppg, 9.2 rpg) is the team's leading scorer and rebounder. Kravic (10.7 ppg) and Gray (11.5 ppg) are also scoring in double figures

TCU has lived on the edge for most of the season, as nine of its 13 games have been decided by seven points or fewer. The Frogs have also had to erase second-half deficits in six of its nine victories this season. A big problem for TCU against MVSU was free throw shooting, as it went a mere 12-of-23 from the stripe. The Horned Frogs did manage to hit on 49.1 percent of their total shots. Senior forward Adrick McKinney continued his breakout season with another strong performance as he tallied 13 points and a game-high nine rebounds. It was the sixth time in the last seven games that he led the Frogs on the glass, and he has now pulled down nine or more boards in five straight contests.

The Horned Frogs should emerge with their fifth straight win, but given the way they've played all season, this game should be tight down the stretch. In a battle between two evenly matched teams, give the edge to the home squad.

Sports Network Predicted Outcome: TCU 72, Texas Tech 69
