Sky guard Vandersloot out with knee injury

Chicago, IL (SportNetwork.com) - The Chicago Sky will be without point guard Courtney Vandersloot for the next 6-for-10 weeks due to a sprained left knee.

The team said an MRI confirmed a Grade III sprain of the medial collateral ligament. She was hurt in Friday's 73-69 win at New York.

The loss of Vandersloot hurts for Chicago, which has dropped seven of its last nine games. She was tied for the league lead with Phoenix's Diana Taurasi in assists per game (6.3). Vandersloot was also averaging 7.3 points and 2.4 rebounds.

Chicago is already without standout forward Elena Delle Donne, who is continuing treatment for Lyme disease.
