Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Jimmy Baron was one of three Rhode Island Rams with double digit points, as his 20 points led the Rams to a 77-72 win over the Penn State Nittany Lions as part of the Philly Classic.

Kahiem Seawright scored 16 points and pulled down eight rebounds and Keith Cothran turned in 18 points of his own in the win for Rhode Island (5-1).

Penn State (5-1) was led by Jamelle Cornley, who scored a game-high 23 points on 11-of-20 shooting from the floor. Talor Battle grabbed a team-high eight rebounds to go along with 15 points in the loss.

The Rams shot 45.2 percent from the field in the first half and they took a 33-31 lead to the break.

Rhode Island shot 52.2 percent from the floor and converted 16-of-20 free- throw attempts in the second half, as it claimed the five-point win.

The Rams held an 18-9 advantage in free-throw points and that played a big part in the victory.
