NCAA Game Summary - Army at Hawaii

Honolulu, HI (SportsNetwork.com) - Sean Schroeder threw for 322 yards and accounted for four touchdowns as the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors avoided a winless season with a 49-42 triumph over the Army Black Knights at Aloha Stadium.
Schroeder completed 23-of-33 passes and had three touchdowns passing and one rushing for Hawaii (1-11). Joey Iosefa rushed for 154 yards and a touchdown and also threw a one-yard score. Steven Lakalaka (104 yards, TD) also had a strong performance rushing, while Chris Gant (eight receptions, 116 yards) and Scott Harding (five receptions, 94 yards TD) were both viable targets for Schroeder.
A.J. Schurr completed 5-of-10 passes for 122 yards and rushed for 47 yards and four touchdowns for Army (3-8), which will close out its season on Dec. 14 versus Navy. Terry Baggett turned 14 carries into 81 yards for the visitors.
The Rainbow Warriors opened up a 14-0 lead after the first quarter on a pair of Schroeder touchdown passes. First he connected with Harding from 26 yards out less than four minutes into the game, then four minutes later he found Marcus Langkilde for a one-yard strike.
Army cut its deficit in half early in the second quarter when Angel Santiago rushed in a six-yard score, capping off a 13-play, 80-yard drive.
Hawaii added two more touchdowns before the half was out, a 10-yard scoring strike from Schroeder to Vasquez Haynes and a one-yard touchdown pass from Iosefa to Harold Moleni, as it went into the break with a 28-7 advantage.
The Black Knights quickly got themselves back in the game early in the third quarter by scoring two touchdowns less than a minute apart. After Schurr rushed in a two-yard touchdown at the 11:38 mark, Army recovered an outside kick. After a 34-yard run by Schurr set the team up at the 2-yard line, he plunged in for another score to bring Army's deficit to just seven, 28-21.
Schurr rushed for his third touchdown of the quarter at the 6:17 mark, this time from one-yard away, as Army tied the score at 28.
Hawaii halted the Black Knights' run on its next possession, as it drove 80 yards in less than two minutes, with Iosefa running in an eight-yard score to put it back ahead, 35-28.
After forcing Army to go three-and-out, the Rainbow Warriors struck with another touchdown later in the third quarter when Lakalaka rushed in from one yard out to put them back up by two touchdowns.
Army refused to roll over, however, as it cut its deficit to seven, 42-35, early in the fourth quarter on an 11-yard touchdown rush by Matt Giachinta. Hawaii answered back on its next possession, as Schroeder rushed in a six-yard score.
The Black Knights got another rushing touchdown from Schurr (two yards) with 2:30 to play to make the score 49-42. The Rainbow Warriors were able to run most of the clock off before giving the ball back to Army with just 24 seconds left on its own 5-yard line as its comeback attempt fell short.
Hawaii put up 608 total yards compared to Army's 406.
