Insight: David Lough is leading off and playing in left field. De Aza id batting .240 with a couple of home runs and eight runs scored, but he's also struck out 17 times in 50 at-bats while walking just twice. He'll have to work on making better contact.

Description: Outfielder Alejandro De Aza is back in the lineup on Monday after sitting against the left-hander on Sunday.
Insight: It appears to be a pretty strict platoon for De Aza and right-hand hitter Delmon Young which will certainly limit de aza fantasy usefulness to part-time work. De Aza is batting .250 with a pair of homers and four RBI this season.

8/31/2014 8:36:00 AM
Description: Outfielder Alejandro De Aza (.243, 5 HR, 31 RBI, 45 runs, 15 SB) was traded from the White Sox to Baltimore.
Insight: De Aza add more offensive weapons to an already solid Orioles team. He's capable of a 20-20 season, but his numbers have fallen for three straight seasons and perhaps this change of scenery and a pennant race will boost his production.

Insight: De Aza lost both his starting center-field job and the leadoff spot in the order to Adam Eaton, and he'll split time with Dayan Viciedo in left field. Monday's results should help him remain on the heavy side of that platoon early this season.

9/7/2013 10:45:00 AM
