Luiten jumps to 36 in world

Joost Luiten moved up 12 spots to No. 36 in this week's world rankings.
Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Joost Luiten emerged from a crowded top of the leaderboard at the Wales Open on Sunday to win by one shot, and that victory propelled him up 12 spots to No. 36 in this week's world rankings.

Luiten shot an even-par 71 on Sunday and finished one shot ahead of Tommy Fleetwood and Shane Lowry at 14-under 270. Luiten was previously No. 48 in the world.

With the PGA Tour not in action last week, there was not much change to the world's top players. This year's Open champion and PGA Championship winner Rory McIlroy remained the No. 1 player in the world followed by Adam Scott and Sergio Garcia.  Full Story
