Green Bay, WI (SportsNetwork.com) - Alec Brown led the Green Bay Phoenix with
17 points as they topped the Cleveland State Vikings, 66-55, in Horizon League
play at the Resch Center.
Brown shot 5-of-9 from the field and 5-of-6 at the free-throw line for the
Phoenix (10-3, 1-0 HL). Keifer Sykes and Jordan Fouse each netted 15 points,
with Fouse adding seven rebounds and five assists.
Marlin Mason recorded a double-double for the Vikings (8-7, 0-1) with 11
points and 10 rebounds. Anton Grady also had a double-double with 10 points
and 10 boards. Trey Lewis contributed 11 points.
The teams were fairly evenly matched in the first half, with the Phoenix
shooting 47.6 percent from the field and the Vikings shooting 46.4 percent

12 points down the stretch.
Green Bay made 17-of-24 free-throw attempts in the game, while Cleveland
State got to the line for just 6-of-11. The Vikings also failed to establish
the perimeter game, hitting only 3-of-21 shots from beyond the arc.
