Storm slam Dream
Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Camille Little scored 21 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to guide Seattle to an 88-68 rout of the Eastern Conference- leading Atlanta Dream Thursday night.
The Storm, mired in last place in the West, also got 17 points from Crystal Langhorne and 16 off the bench from Temeka Johnson.
Seattle shot 51.6 percent from the field to win back-to-back contests for the first time since June 6 and 10.
Tiffany Hayes had 16 points for Atlanta, which never led and trailed by as many as 29. Shoni Schimmel scored 14 and Sancho Lyttle 10 for the Dream.
Atlanta shot 34.8 percent and lost its third in a row, but the Dream hold a three-game lead on Washington for the top spot in the East.
Seattle used a dominating first quarter to take control. The Storm held a 29-11 scoring advantage by shooting 62.5 percent from the field, compared to 3-of-16 for the Dream. Included in the quarter was a run of 13 consecutive Seattle points. Langhorne's jumper capped the burst for a 19-5 cushion.
The lead swelled to 53-30 at the half and reached its highest margin at 61-32 in the third.
