Langhorne, Storm hold off Stars
Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Crystal Langhorne had 19 points and 10 rebounds as the Seattle Storm defeated the San Antonio Stars, 71-65, on Sunday night.
Camille Little posted 15 points and seven boards, while Sue Bird added 10 points and four assists for the Storm, who snapped a seven-game losing streak.
Kayla McBride netted 17 points and Danielle Adams scored all 14 of her points in the second half for San Antonio, which has dropped seven of its last nine games.
The Stars were down by as many as 18 in the first half before taking a 59-57 lead with 3:20 left in the fourth quarter, but Langhorne responded with a three-point play at the other end and Seattle never trailed again.
A McBride jumper pulled San Antonio within 62-61 with 2:18 to play, but Langhorne recorded another three-point play and Bird's steal and layup a possession later sealed the outcome.
