 NOTES:
The MAVTV 500 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California is the 11th
race on the 2015 Verizon IndyCar Series schedule.

Formerly known as California Speedway, the groundbreaking for this 2-mile oval
took place in November 1995. This track has 14 degrees of banking in all four
of its turns as well as 11 degrees of banking on the frontstretch and 3
 degrees on the backstretch.

Before hosting IndyCar sanctioned races in 2002, this track held open wheel
events in CART from 1997-02. Mark Blundell won the inaugural CART race there
in '97, and Sam Hornish Jr. scored the victory in IndyCar's first visit at
this track in '02. Hornish won there again the following year.

Auto Club Speedway hosted the season-finale for IndyCar the past three years.
This year, the season-ending race will be held at Sonoma Raceway in Northern
 California (Aug. 30).

With six races to go, Juan Pablo Montoya holds a 27-point lead over teammate
and defending IndyCar champion Will Power. Scott Dixon trails by 45 points,
and Helio Castroneves is 52 behind.

This will be the third oval race of the season. Montoya won the Indianapolis
500 on May 24, and Dixon scored the victory in the Firestone 600 at Texas
Motor Speedway on June 6. Milwaukee (July 12), Iowa (July 18) and Pocono (Aug.
 23) are those oval events that follow Auto Club Speedway.
