Charlottesville, VA (Sports Network) - Bryn Renner was 29-for-36 with three
touchdowns and 315 yards passing as North Carolina took a 37-13 win over
Virginia in ACC action.
Quinshad Davis had 16 catches for 178 yards, Erik Highsmith caught two scores
while Giovani Bernard caught the other for the Tar Heels (7-4, 4-3 ACC), who
have won two of their last three.
Phillip Sims threw one touchdown and went 8-for-17 for 50 yards while Michael
Rocco was 11-for-16 with an interception and 155 yards for the Cavaliers (4-7,
2-5), who had a two-game winning streak snapped and were eliminated from
North Carolina's second possession of the game saw the team put points on the
board as a 10-play, 91-yard march saw Renner hit Highsmith for a 9-yard score

ball back at their own 3-yard line.
North Carolina effectively put the game away with a 12-play, 97-yard drive
that started in the third quarter and ended three minutes into the fourth with
Bernard hauling in a 23-yard touchdown catch for a 27-13 advantage.
Following a three-and-out from Virginia, the Tar Heels struck quick as the
fifth play of the march saw Highsmith grab a 20-yard score for a 34-13 lead
and Moore added a 30-yard field goal after the Cavaliers fumbled the ensuing
