Anderson, Sens shut door on Devils

Newark, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - Craig Anderson stopped all 34 shots he faced and Kyle Turris provided all the offense Ottawa needed in a 2-0 decision over New Jersey at Prudential Center.

Turris hit the net early in the first period on a power play and then added his second goal just ahead of the final buzzer.

Anderson collected his third shutout of the season and very nearly snagged a piece of history for the Senators, who have won two of three and recorded at least a point in all of those contests.  Full Story

'MacT' at center of storm for Oilers

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - No offense to Dallas Eakins, but his firing as head coach of the Oilers is the least interesting part of the recent turmoil in Edmonton.

That's because Eakins only had a brief role in a drama that was going on well before he arrived in Edmonton, and one that shows no signs of slowing down.

Sadly, Oilers fans can only see this story heading in one direction. It's unclear if it's comedy or tragedy, but whatever it is it's unlikely to get rave reviews.  Full Story
