Named AP Second-Team All-American following a senior season in 2005 in which he led the ACC in tackles for the second year in a row and was named the league's Defensive Player of the Year...Jackson, who finished with 137 tackles, was a finalist for the Bednarik Award...Made 56 stops unassisted for the Terps this past year, was first with six and a half tackles for loss and was second on the unit with four sacks...Started all 11 games as a junior as he posted a league-best 123 tackles and was again a First-Team All-ACC memberwhile garnering numerous All-American mentions from various outlets...A Second-Team All-ACC performer as a sophomore, Jackson ranked seventh in the conference in tackles per game with just over 10 per outing...Led team with 136 stops, of which an amazing 90 were unassisted...Jackson led all Maryland freshman in tackles in 2002 with 51, seeing time in all 14 games for the program...Makes plays all over the field with a non-stop motor...Might be more productive at the pro level if he moves from inside linebacker to the outside, but still has to improve his strength and ability to work off blocks.
