Description: No more wondering whether Jaguars' running back Rashad Jennings will play again in 2012 - he's been placed on injured reserve.
Insight: Jennings had his chances to show he can be a starting running back in the NFL and fell short on almost every occasion. Jacksonville needs to find a backup for oft-injured Maurice Jones-Drew as we don't believe the answer is on their current roster.

Description: Jaguars running back Rashad Jennings joins Maurice Jones-Drew on the sidelines for Week 16 due to his ongoing concussion problem.
Insight: With MJD and Jalen Parmele already on the shelf with injuries the team's best backfield option is Montell Owens. Owens was solid in Week 14, but could only manage 47 yards against the Dolphins and doesn't figure to be a great option against New England.

Insight: With Maurice Jones-Drew and Jalen Parmele already on the shelf with injuries, if Jennings isn't ready in Week 1 4 than the team's best backfield option is now, wait for it, Montell Owens, who has rushed for 112 yards in his career, including 29 last week in a relief role.

Description: Jacksonville tailback Rashad Jennings didn't exactly set the world on fire Sunday against Green Bay but he did finish with 115 yards from scrimmage.
Insight: Jennings salvaged a day in which he rushed for 59 yards on 17 carries and lost a fumble by catching six balls for 56 yards. Jennings isn't in the class of Maurice Jones-Drew but he's all Jacksonville has right now and can be started as an RB2 in deeper leagues.

Description: Jacksonville tailback Rashad Jennings racked up 102 total yards Sunday against Oakland and will start next Sunday against the Packers for injured maurice Jones-Drew.
Insight: Jennings entered the game early on after starter Jones-Drew went down with a foot injury. MJD has an arch sprain according to coach Mike Mularkey and will miss an extended amount of time.

9/27/2012 7:30:00 PM
Description: Jaguars running back Rashad Jennings (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, according to John Oehser of Jaguars.com.
Insight: Jennings had a shot at being the team's starting running back after Jones-Drew held out for the entire preseason but Jones-Drew is firmly entrenched as the team's starter. Even if he plays in Week 4 Jennings won't carry any fantasy value.

9/14/2012 2:54:00 PM
Description: Jaguars running back Rashad Jennings (knee) will miss Sunday's game against Houston.
Insight: It will be up to recent holdout Maurice Jones-Drew to carry the entire workload for the Jags. MJD took over after Jennings was hurt last week and accumulated 95 yards on 22 touches.

9/12/2012 10:41:00 AM
Description: Jaguars running back Rashad Jennings (leg) will have an MRI on Wednesday, but coach Mike Mularkey said on Monday that "he doesn’t expect to have him available" for Sunday's game against Houston.
Insight: Maurice Jones-Drew took over and accumulated 95 yards on 22 touches. Coming into camp the week before the season began, MJD looked sluggish, but that should improve each week. Jennings, when healthy, will return to his backup role.

9/9/2012 3:01:00 PM
Description: Jaguars halfback Rashad Jennings suffered a leg injury and did not come out for the start of the second half Sunday versus Minnesota.
Insight: Jacksonville will be forced to go with Maurice Jones-Drew the rest of the way. It appears Jennings has squandered his best opportunity to make some noise in fantasy. MJD will likely be the featured back from here on out for the Jaguars.

8/28/2012 4:15:00 PM
Description: According to the Florida Times Union, Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey expects running back Rashad Jennings to start Week 1.
Insight: Mularkey didn't rule out Maurice Jones-Drew as the opening-day starting tailback, but even if Jones-Drew does return from his holdout it's looking more and more like he'll handle a reduced workload in Week 1. If Jones-Drew's holdout extends into the season, consider Jennings a RB2 in Week 1 against Minnesota.

8/11/2012 11:25:00 AM
Description: Jaguars running back Rashad Jennings, who missed all of 2011 with a knee injury, looked solid in the Jags first preseason game, rushing for 56 yards on 12 carries.
Insight: A healthy Jennings was ready to steal carries from Maurice Jones-Drew before he went down with a knee injury last year. If the MJD holdout lasts into the regular season, Jennings could be fantasy-worthy.

5/15/2012 4:00:00 PM
Description: Jaguars running back Rashad Jennings missed all of 2011 with a knee injury, but with Maurice Jones-Drew skipping OTAs and likely training camp as well, could see plenty of playing time this summer.
Insight: A healthy Jennings was ready to steal carries from MJD before he went down with a knee injury and if he's ready to run then Jones-Drew owners could be disappointed. It will be something to watch in camp and the exhibition games.

9/3/2011 4:22:00 PM
Description: Jaguars placed RB Rashad Jennings (knee) on injured reserve, ending his season. Source: Florida Times Union
Insight: It's looking like either an ACL and patellar tendon tear at this point, but the Jags haven't issued much information. He's been on crutches all week, so it looks like the injury was more serious than originally thought. Deji Kareem will take over the #2 back and becomes MJD's handcuff should he go down to injury.
