Description: Indianapolis has re-signed halfback Ahmad Bradshaw to a one-year deal. SOURCE: NBC's Pro Football Talk
Insight: The Colts' backfield now consists of Bradshaw, Trent Richardson and Vick Ballard. Richardson should get the most carries, though after averaging 3.0 yards per rush last season, there's little reason to be confident in him. Fantasy owners may be better off avoiding all three.

Description: Profootballtalk is reporting that Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) has decided to undergo surgery, and will miss the remainder of the season.
Insight: Trent Richardson is the clear-cut No. 1 option for the Colts who will use Donald Brown as his backup now that Bradshaw has joined Vick Ballard on the sidelines.

10/4/2013 2:56:00 PM
Description: Neck surgery might be in Ahmad Bradshaw's future, but for now he's out indefinitely.
Insight: According to coach Chuck Pagano, Bradshaw will decide over the next few weeks. A surgery of that nature would put an end to Bradshaw's season.

Description: Neck surgery might be in Ahmad Bradshaw's future.
Insight: At least that's what the Indianapolis Star is suggesting. A surgery of that nature could put an end to Bradshaw's season. Obviously, we'll need to hear more before making a fantasy recommendation but it's probably safe to assume Bradshaw won't be playing this week.

Description: Indianapolis halfback Ahmad Bradshaw wasn't able to practice on Wednesday and he seems like a longshot for Sunday's game against the Seahawks. SOURCE: Adam Schefter, ESPN
Insight: With Trent Richardson now as the top back in Indy, the Colts can afford to take their time with Bradshaw, who has been slow to recover from a neck injury. Even without competition for carries, Richardson won't have an easy time producing yards against Seattle's top-ranked run defense.

9/27/2013 1:25:00 PM
Description: Colts running back Ahmad Bradshaw, who rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries in Week 3, has been ruled out for Week 4 with a neck injury, according to ProFootballTalk.
Insight: Bradshaw missed practice all week and with Trent Richardson now on the roster, the Colts don't have to force anything with the injury-prone Bradshaw.

Hot9/15/2013 5:49:00 PM
Description: In his first game since Vick Ballard's season-ending knee injury, Colts running back Ahmad Bradshaw rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.
Insight: Ballard ran 13 times for 63 yards in the opener while Bradshaw had just seven carries for 26 yards in a shared situation, and offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton said this week that in an ideal situation the team would have a 50-50 split. However, Bradshaw is the guy with Ballard out. Backup Donald Brown had seven carries for 30 yards.

Hot9/13/2013 12:55:00 PM
Description: The seasoning injury that Indianapolis running back Vick Ballard suffered in Thursday's practice will make Ahmad Bradshaw the unquestioned No. 1 starter on the Colts.
Insight: Ballard had rushed 13 times for 63 yards in the opener while Ahmad Bradshaw had just seven carries for 26 yards in a shared situation. The injury will elevate Bradshaw to the primary running back role with Donald Brown as his backup.

9/12/2013 1:17:00 PM
Description: According to Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star, Colts OC Pep Hamilton said Ahmad Bradshaw's role will continue to expand but added that the ideal workload split between Bradshaw and Vick Ballard is 50/50.
Insight: Bradshaw missed a good portion of training camp due to a foot injury and only had seven carries for 26 yards to Ballard's 13 for 63 in the opener. Bradshaw should emerge as the more valuable fantasy player but still won't be a starter if Andrew Luck keeps stealing rushing touchdowns.

Description: Ahmad Bradshaw is listed behind Vick Ballard on the Colts' running back depth chart for Week 1 against Oakland. SOURCE: Philip Wilson, Indianapolis Star
Insight: Bradshaw wasn't able to create separation between himself and Ballard in the preseason and now he's actually listed behind him heading into Sunday's season opener. Of course, all he needs is a touchdown to give fantasy owners a good week. We wouldn't recommend either Ballard or Bradshaw as anything more than a flex play in Week 1.

9/6/2013 4:18:00 PM
Description: Another full day of practice on Friday for Colts running back Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) and he should be ready to go on Sunday.
Insight: Bradshaw is expected to be on the field in Week 1, but his workload is unclear after he missed the entire preseason. Vick Ballard has been taking first-team reps this week and will likely be involved in some capacity Sunday against the Raiders. Bradshaw is a big gamble this week, but should become the lead back and weekly RB2 before September ends.

Description: Colts running back Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) will likely miss the final preseason game.
Insight: Bradshaw has yet to play in the preseason, but is expected to be ready for Week 1. He has dealt with foot issues his whole career, but he has been known to play through most injuries.

8/13/2013 9:04:00 PM
Description: Colts running back Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) says he "definitely" feels 100 percent, according to IndyStar.com, but coach Chuck Pagano said the team will bring him along slowly.
Insight: The NFL forced the Colts to activated Bradshaw from the active/PUP list Monday after it found out he briefly participated in a walk-through on Aug. 4. Bradshaw has dealt with foot issues his whole career, but he has been known to play through most injuries and likely will be ready for Week 1.

8/12/2013 8:49:00 PM
Description: The Colts have activated running back Ahmad Bradshaw from the active/PUP list.
Insight: It looks like Bradshaw has finally recovered from offseason foot surgery. That's bad news for Vick Ballard, who drops to No. 2 on the Colts' running back depth chart. If Bradshaw stays healthy, he should have a chance for his second straight 1,000-yard season.

Description: Indianapolis running back Ahmad Bradshaw expects to return to practice in about a week. SOURCE: Colts.com
Insight: He's been recovering from offseason foot surgery. Bradshaw will probably be splitting carries with Vick Ballard this season so we're not optimistic about his fantasy production.

7/30/2013 8:14:00 PM
Description: According to Mike Chappell of the Indianapolis Star, Colts running back Ahmad Bradshaw (foot) expects to miss a couple more weeks.
Insight: Bradshaw, who has rushed for at least 1,000 yards twice in the last three seasons, said he doesn't really need to play in the preseason. The former Giants running back has dealt with foot and ankle issues for his whole career, but he usually suits up on Sunday and is likely to be Indy's No. 1 running back ahead of Vick Ballard this year.

7/24/2013 11:48:00 AM
Description: Running back Ahmad Bradshaw was placed on the active PUP list, but expects to be ready for the start of the season. The active PUP list allows you to be activated at any time.
Insight: Bradshaw, who has rushed for at least 1,000 yards twice in the last three seasons, said he'll be "ready to rock come regular season." Fantasy owners like Bradshaw because he plays injured and has only missed eight games over the past five seasons.

6/11/2013 2:39:00 PM
Description: Running back Ahmad Bradshaw and the Colts have reached an agreement on a one-year, $1.1 million contract. SOURCE: Adam Schefter, ESPN
Insight: Bradshaw has rushed for at least 1,000 yards twice in the last three seasons. The Colts had the league's 22nd-best rushing attack in 2012 so adding Bradshaw makes plenty of sense. Now to figure out the division of rushing attempts between Bradshaw, Vick Ballard and Donald Brown.

Description: Free agent running back Ahmad Bradshaw is working out with the Colts on Thursday. SOURCE: NBC Sports
Insight: Bradshaw has rushed for at least 1,000 yards twice in the last three seasons. The Colts had one of the league's weakest rushing attacks in 2012 so adding Bradshaw to the fold would make plenty of sense. We'll see how his workout goes.
