Description: Free agent wide receiver Jabar Gaffney will have to serve a two-game suspension for a violation of league policy.
Insight: The suspension has to do with an arrest from 2010. Gaffney has been cut by both the Patriots and Dolphins at different points this season so perhaps they knew this suspension was coming.

Description: Dolphins receiver Jabar Gaffney is one of the team's inactives for Sunday against St. Louis.
Insight: Gaffney just joined the team a few weeks ago and will take some time to learn the playbook. He won't be a fantasy option with Brian Hartline and Davone Bess ahead of him on the depth chart.

Description: The Dolphins have signed receiver Jabar Gaffney and released Legedu Naanee.
Insight: Gaffney worked out for the Dolphins a month ago after getting released by New England but his hamstring was not yet healthy. He'll serve as the No. 3 receiver and won't have much fantasy value.

Description: The Dolphins are interested in signing free agent wide receiver Jabar Gaffney according to the Miami Herald.
Insight: Gaffney's preference is to re-sign with the Patriots, who cut him last week because of his injured quad. Miami wouldn't be a bad alternative if New England passes on him, though his potential to rack up fantasy points would be much greater with Tom Brady throwing to him instead of Ryan Tannehill.

8/27/2012 8:57:00 PM
Description: The Patriots parted ways with wide receiver Jabar Gaffney on Monday.
Insight: Gaffney caught two passes for 18 yards in his only preseason game. This move should elevate Deion Branch to third on New England's receiving depth chart. Gaffney played well for the Redskins last year (68 catches, 947 yards, five touchdowns) so he should be able to find an opportunity with another team soon enough.

Cold8/16/2012 11:29:00 AM
Description: ESPN Boston has indicated that Jabar Gaffney has failed to separate himself from the field in his attempt to win the No. 3 wide receiver role in New England.
Insight: Despite reeling in a pair of catches in the exhibition opener last Thursday, Gaffney has struggled so far in his return to the Patriots. It's possible that he could get overtaken on the depth chart by Deion Branch, which would really damage Gaffney's already shaky draft stock heading into the 2012 fantasy campaign.

5/2/2012 8:25:00 PM
Description: Free agent wide receiver Jabar Gaffney and the Patriots have reached an agreement on a two-year deal.
Insight: Another steal by the savvy Patriots. Gaffney, who played for the Pats during their historic 18-1 campaign, was the Redskins' top receiver last season (career high 68 catches for 947 yards). With Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez, Brandon Lloyd, Deion Branch, Anthony Gonzalez and now Gaffney all in tow, the Patriots might not run the ball at all next season. Gaffney was cut by Washington on Tuesday.

5/1/2012 4:30:00 PM
Description: The Washington Redskins released wideout Jabar Gaffney on Tuesday. The 10-year veteran had caught 68 balls for 947 yards and five touchdowns in 2011.
Insight: Gaffney still has the ability to help a team, but probably not as a starter. Barring a surprising turn of events, he'll likely play in a backup role and have little to no fantasy value in 2012.

7/27/2011 5:37:00 PM
Description: The Denver Broncos have traded WR Jabar Gaffney to the Washington Redskins in exchange for defensive tackle Jeremy Jarmon.
Insight: There had been discussion that Washington was in the mix for Braylon Edwards. With Gaffney there, perhaps talks on that front will end.

Description: Following WR Demaryius Thomas' recent Achilles' tendon tear, the Broncos are now expected to retain WR Jabar Gaffney for the 2011 season. SOURCE: DENVER POST
Insight: Besides Brandon Lloyd, Gaffney is the only healthy/experienced receiver the team has with Thomas out and Eddie Royal coming off hip surgery. However, we don't expect Gaffney to be much of a fantasy asset in 2011.

Description: There is speculation that Broncos WR Jabar Gaffney might be shopped this offseason. SOURCE: DENVER POST
Insight: Gaffney won't fetch much more than a late rounder, but the team would like to get something for him with Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker nipping at his heels for more playing time going into their second season.

10/5/2010 12:02:00 AM
Description: A week after catching 12 passes to lead the team, Gaffney grabbed five for 51 yards in Sunday's win.
Insight: There have been plenty of producers but no consistent sure thing among Denver wideouts so far. Still, it's hard to complain about the level of production from anyone, including Gaffney. He's an OK WR3 option in PPR leagues. (RapidDraft.com)

9/27/2010 11:00:00 AM
Description: Gaffney caught a game-high 12 passes for 140 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's loss to the Colts. His 14 targets also led the team, making Gaffney the third different receiver to do so this season.
Insight: That's a good indication of how much we can trust each individual Denver receiver. Gaffney, though, seems easier to trust than Lloyd based on his history with Josh McDaniels and the track records of both players. (RapidDraft.com)

8/22/2010 10:41:00 AM
Description: Jabar Gaffney led the Broncos with six receptions for 98 yards against the Lions in Saturday's preseason game.
Insight: Don't get too excited about this. Gaffney has never shown that he can be a consistent fantasy receiver and this year should be no different. (RapidDraft.com)

7/24/2010 6:24:00 PM
Description: WR Jabar Gaffney is relishing his opportunity to start for the Broncos.
Insight: He should be. The odds are that, when Denver's group of young but promising receivers break out, Gaffney will find himself back on the sidelines. (SportsBuff.com)

4/16/2010 8:02:00 PM
Description: Beat writer Frank Schwab expects Jabar Gaffney to emerge as the Broncos No. 1 receiver unless they draft Dez Bryant in the first round.
Insight: Gaffney has always been just an average fantasy receiver, but he could be in the right place at the right time here. The Broncos will not ignore the pass completely and he stands to pick a lot of Brandon Marshall's slack. (SportsBuff.com)

4/14/2010 8:18:00 PM
Description: Jabar Gaffney and Eddie Royal will bigger parts of the Broncos' offense following the trade of Brandon Marshall, according to unnamed sources.
Insight: Gaffney has never topped 55 catches in a season yet, so Royal looks to be the guy who will benefit the most. The Broncos could address the need in a receiver-heavy draft, too. (sportsBuff.com)

1/7/2010 8:27:00 AM
Description: Gaffney had 14 catches for a career-high 213 yards on Sunday against the Broncos.
Insight: With Brandon Marshall out, Gaffney was the number one receiver in Denver and he made the most of it. Orton targeted him early and often. Gaffney finished the season with 21 receptions over his past two games. (SportsBuff.com)

12/28/2009 10:49:00 PM
Description: Gaffney caught a season-high seven passes for 69 yards and two touchdowns against the Eagles on Sunday.
Insight: Gaffney had his best game of the season and found the endzone for the first time all season. (SportsBuff.com)
