Description: The Rams have signed former Titans tight end Jared Cook to a five-year contract. | Insight: Earlier reports had Cook close to a deal with the Dolphins. The tight end is an explosive athlete who can split out wide and could replace Danny Amendola as St. Louis' slot receiver. His numbers haven't lived up to his abilities yet but he'll be an intriguing player as Sam Bradford's new No. 1 target.

Description: The Titans decided not to use their franchise tag on tight end Jared Cook. | Insight: Cook was preparing to ask for the wide receiver's minimum rather than the significantly lower tight end salary and the Titans decided it just wasn't worth the hassle. Now that Cook is officially a free agent, Jason La Canfora from CBS expects the Rams (coached by Cook's former Tennessee coach Jeff Fisher) to make a run at him.

Description: The Titans are expected to use their franchise tag on tight end Jared Cook. SOURCE: Terry McCormick, National Football Post | Insight: If only it were that simple. Technically Cook is listed as a tight end but he's trying to argue that he's actually a wide receiver. As a tight end, Cook (44 catches, 523 yards, four TD in 2012) would only be entitled to $6.066 million but as a wideout, he'd earn more than $10 million. It will be interesting to see if Cook's decision to call himself a wide receiver will influence his fantasy eligibility at all next season. Obviously, he'd be worth much more as a tight end than he would be as a wideout. He'd just be making a lot less money.
