Description: Tight end Jermichael Finley told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel that his chances of returning to the Packers next season are "50/50."
Insight: We've heard conflicting reports on this subject as Jason La Canfora from CBS doesn't believe Finley will be back but the Green Bay Press-Gazette is saying the exact opposite. If Finley doesn't return to the Packers next season, it won't be for lack of ability: he's still one of the game's top tight ends. It will be because Finley is due to receive an extra $3.5 million if he's still on Green Bay's roster by the end of the month.

Description: According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, tight end Jermichael Finley is expected to be back with the Packers next season.
Insight: Finley received a vote of confidence from head coach Mike McCarthy earlier in the week. Finley finished 12th among NFL tight ends in receiving yards this season with 667 yards in 16 games.

Description: Green Bay tight end Jermichael Finley practiced on Tuesday. He dealt with cramping in his hamstring during the team's Wild Card victory over Minnesota on Saturday.
Insight: Finley only caught one pass for 10 yards in the game but also dropped a touchdown pass. The tight end averaged 56.6 yards over the final seven games this season but he's really just the fourth or fifth option in the Packers' passing game now that all of Green Bay's receivers are healthy.

Description: Green Bay tight end Jermichael Finley left Saturday's game with Minnesota in the second half due to cramping.
Insight: Finley should be fine physically for next weekend against San Francisco. He caught just one pass for 10 yards against Minnesota and dropped a possible touchdown pass.

1/2/2013 3:30:00 PM
Description: Green Bay tight end Jermichael Finley is questionable for Saturday's NFC Wild Card Playoff against Minnesota after finishing Sunday's game with his eye swollen shut.
Insight: The injury got worse as the game went along yet Finly managed season highs for receptions (8) and yards (72). We expect he'll be ready to go by Saturday. On the other hand, he's managed just two touchdowns all season, so his value in limited.

10/25/2012 9:57:00 AM
Description: Green Bay tight end Jermichael Finley (shoulder) expects to be limited Sunday against the Jaguars, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette.
Insight: Finley dislocated his shoulder in a Week 5 loss to the Colts and played limited snaps the last two weeks. We wouldn't play him until he's deemed fully healthy since he hasn't been receiving enough targets to sustain TE1 numbers.

10/18/2012 3:00:00 PM
Description: Green Bay tight end Jermichael Finley (shoulder) was limited in Thursday's practice, according to Tyler Dunne of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
Insight: Finley dislocated his shoulder in a Week 5 loss to the Colts and played limited snaps last week. Even when healthy the athletic tight end hasn't lived up to expectations so you can go ahead and bench him in all leagues.

10/14/2012 7:44:00 PM
Description: Green Bay tight end Jermichael Finley, a game-time decision, is active for Sunday night against Houston.
Insight: Finley dislocated his shoulder in a Week 5 loss to the Colts and hasn't been able to make it to the practice field yet this week. Over the past four weeks, Finley has failed to post more than 60 yards and hasn't reached the end zone since the opener.

10/11/2012 11:22:00 AM
Description: Green Bay tight end Jermichael Finley will likely be a game-time decision for Sunday night's matchup against the Titans according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
Insight: Finley dislocated his shoulder in a Week 5 loss to the Colts and hasn't been able to make it to the practice field yet this week. Backup tight end Tom Crabtree is likely to get the start if Finley can't play on Sunday.

10/8/2012 4:46:00 PM
Description: Packers tight end Jermichael Finley (shoulder) "has a chance" of playing in Week 6 against Houston, coach Mike McCarthy said.
Insight: Finley hasn't lived up to expectations for the second straight season, averaging just 39.6 yards and catching one TD in five games.

10/7/2012 3:27:00 PM
Description: Packers tight end Jermichael Finley left Sunday's game with a shoulder injury and is questionable to return.
Insight: Finley had three catches for 11 yards when he exited. Check back for updates.

9/10/2012 12:24:00 PM
Description: Packers tight end Jermichael Finley was targeted a team-high 11 times after hitting double digits just two times in 2011-12.
Insight: Finley caught seven of the 11 passes for just 47 yards, but did catch a touchdown pass in the second quarter. We don't expect him to see the ball this often with all the talent the Packers have in their receiving corps.

8/30/2012 9:42:00 PM
Description: According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Packers tight end Jermichael Finley could share some snaps with backup D.J. Williams early in the season. Finley hasn't played at all this preseason due to injury but he's expected to be ready Week 1.
Insight: Finley struggled with drops and recorded zero 100-yard games last season. He did have eight scores, but three of them came Week 3 against the Bears. The Packers have a ton of weapons, and if Randall Cobb steps up as the third receiver Finley may find himself as the fourth passing option. He's still a top-10 tight end, but don't expect much improvement on his 2011-12 numbers.

8/19/2012 4:46:00 PM
Description: Green Bay tight end Jermichael Finley, who has missed most of the preseason because of a strained quadriceps, returned to the practice field on Sunday.
Insight: Finley is coming off of his most productive season as a professional (career-highs in catches, yards and touchdown receptions) and should be a top-five fantasy tight end in 2012.

8/2/2012 6:08:00 PM
Description: Packers tight end Jermichael Finley hasn't had a standout training camp thus far, notes the Green Bay Press-Gazette. Finley missed two full practices and was limited in another because of a concussion, and he hasn't made any attention-grabbing catches while dropping a routine pass.
Insight: The freak athlete underachieved last season despite being a member of one of the most efficient offenses in the league, averaging 3.4 catches and 47.9 yards per game and recording 10 touchdown-less weeks. Still, Finley is worth gambling on if you don't get one of the elite TEs provided the price tag isn't too high, as his athleticism and Aaron Rodgers' right arm are strong things to have on your side. Plus, the tight end is nearly 22 months removed from the season-ending knee injury he suffered in October 2010, which can only help his chances of succeeding.

Description: Jermichael Finley is an enigma. When he is playing, there aren't many tight ends with his skill set. He's 6'5'?', 247 with great speed, hands, and the athleticism to make acrobatic catches. It's almost unfair because he's far too quick for linebackers and far too powerful for defensive backs. . Yet, he has been plagued with injuries throughout his career. You would think that with just 82 catches for 1051 yards and seven touchdowns in three seasons wouldn't translate into a desirable fantasy tight end option. However, you'd be wrong. We've know the potential of a monster campaign is there. That's why you see him high on most fantasy football tight end rankings lists. . The risk isn't in owning him. The tight end position has become deep enough where you could find a suitable replacement if he gets hurt again. The risk in who you pass up on to get him. You could be passing on Jason Witten, Vernon Davis, or Dallas Clark to take Finley. I have him ranked third behind Gates and Witten, but I appreciate why someone would take the safer route with Davis or Clark. I can also appreciate if someone wanted to wait even longer and go to the next tier of tight ends. . There are a lot of factors to consider. What running backs, receivers, and quarterbacks are available. If you want an elite quarterback and the options are starting to get thin, you may want to hold off on drafting a tight end. If you already took some risks (Michael Vick, Brandon Lloyd, etc.), you may want a safer option. SOURCE: LESTER'S LEGENDS

Insight: He spoke to the crowd after the second inning and said, "I'm feeling great." In reference to a question on a Super Bowl championship repeat, he said: "Part 2 is coming soon." If healthy, Finley will be one of the first five TEs taken off the board.

Description: Packers TE Jermichael Finley recently tweeted that his surgically repaired right knee "feels brand new already." SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: Back at full health, expect Finley to be a high-upside TE1 this year. The Packers didn't get much out of their backups last year, so Finley won't have to worry about someone breathing down his neck.
