Bears WR Marshall signs 3-year extension
Lake Forest, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Chicago Bears and wide receiver Brandon Marshall have agreed to a three-year contract extension.
Marshall announced the deal on ABC's "The View," saying he signed a three- year, $30 million contract extension and will donate $1 million to helping those with mental health issues.
The 30-year-old wideout is under contract through the 2017 season with the Bears, with whom he's spent the last two seasons. He caught 100 passes for the fifth time in his eight-year career last season and totaled 1,295 yards with personal-best 12 touchdowns.
In 123 career games with the Broncos, Dolphins and Bears, the five-time Pro Bowler has hauled in 712 passes for 9,050 yards and 57 TDs.
He is the only player in the NFL to register 1,000 yards receiving in each of the last seven seasons.
