Bills won't play in Toronto in 2014
Orchard Park, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The Buffalo Bills won't play a home game in Toronto for the 2014 season.
The Bills had moved a home game from Ralph Wilson Stadium to the Rogers Centre each of the last six years and had an agreement with Rogers Media through 2017.
There was no reason given for the decision to suspend the series.
"The Buffalo Bills and Rogers are committed to delivering a first-class NFL experience to Canadians," the Bills said in a statement Wednesday. "As such, we have postponed for one year the scheduled 2014 regular season game at Rogers Centre in Toronto, and that game will return to Ralph Wilson Stadium. We will use this time to collectively evaluate opportunities and build on the foundation to enhance future games."
The Bills began playing games in Toronto in 2008, matching up against the Steelers in the preseason and the Dolphins during the regular season.
This past year's contest featured the Falcons and drew 38,969 fans for Atlanta's 34-31 overtime win.
