Georgia QB Murray suffers apparent knee injury
Athens, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Georgia quarterback Arron Murray left Satruday's win over Kentucky with an apparent left knee injury.
Murray suffered the injury following a long second quarter run a few plays before he was violently thrown to the ground by Kentucky defensive lineman Za'Darius Smith following an interception.
Murray immediately motioned the team's medical staff onto the field and was helped to the locker room. He did not return to the game and was taken to a local hospital for an MRI.
"He went to the hospital to get an MRI and we'll just wait and see. He hurt it on the long run and it was bothering him," said Georgia head coach Mark Richt. "Before the injury, he did a good job. He's broken some records that probably won't be broken for a long time. He's played at a high level, especially this year."
It is unclear if Murray will be available for Georgia's matchup with rival Georgia Tech next week.
