Alouettes LB Brouillette taken off on stretcher
Montreal, QC (Sports Network) - Montreal Alouettes linebacker Marc-Olivier Brouillette was taken off the field on a stretcher in the fourth quarter of Sunday's East Division Final against the Toronto Argonauts.
Brouillette appeared to be injured when he got tangled in a pile of bodies on a kickoff return. The veteran linebacker remained on the field for several minutes while being attended to by team personnel.
Both teams huddled in prayer as Brouillette was immobilized and wheeled off the field. TSN Canada television broadcasts reported that Brouillette was transported to a local hospital.
In three seasons with the Als, Brouillette has posted 54 tackles, one sack and one interception.
