Lions lock up Harris with extension
Vancouver, BC (SportsNetwork.com) - The British Columbia Lions signed running back Andrew Harris to a contract extension through the 2015 season.
"Andrew is an elite football player in our league and I believe his best football is still to come," Lions coach Mike Benevides said. "He works extremely hard as both a ball carrier and a receiver which not only makes him a challenge for defensive players, but also adds a dimension to our offensive attack."
Harris, who has played four seasons with the Lions and has never missed a contest over his 72-game career, rushed for 998 yards and seven touchdowns on 198 carries last season. He also had 61 catches for 513 yards and four scores.
Harris has 2,568 rushing yards on 251 career carries with 15 TDs.
