Stamps acquire WR Charbonneau-Campeau from Hamilton
Calgary, AB (SportsNetwork.com) - The Calgary Stampeders acquired wide receiver Simon Charbonneau-Campeau from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Monday in exchange for non-import receiver Spencer Armstrong.
Charbonneau-Campeau appeared in 27 games over two seasons with Hamilton, racking up nine catches for 115 yards.
"Simon has great size and ability and will add to the depth of our Canadian receiving corps," Stampeders head coach and general manager John Hufnagel said. "I look forward to seeing him in action when he reports to training camp."
Armstrong finished the 2013 campaign on the Stamps practice roster after appearing in one game.
He was selected in the fourth round of the 2009 CFL Draft and joined Calgary in August of 2013 following the completion of his service commitment with the U.S. Air Force.
Armstrong hauled in 18 passes for 320 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 118 yards and a touchdown over four seasons at Air Force.
