Lulay to start Sunday vs. Riders
Vancouver, BC (SportsNetwork.com) - The British Columbia Lions will have Travis Lulay under center to start Sunday's West Division Semi-Final against the Saskatchewan Roughriders in Regina.
The club made the announcement through its Twitter feed on Saturday.
"I'm excited and happy to be back," Lulay said.
Lulay was forced to exit a 36-14 rout of the Montreal Alouettes at BC Place on Sept. 15 after absorbing a hit during his 14-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter. Prior to the injury, Lulay was 19-of-28 for 197 yards and one touchdown, but was picked off three times.
Recipient of a contract extension back in January, the 29-year-old Montana State product has only thrown four passes since then, coming in the Lions' season-finale against Calgary.
