(Saturday, November 17) Final Score: Loyola-Maryland 65, Norfolk State 49 Uncasville, CT (Sports Network) - Dylon Cormier led all scorers with 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the floor, and the Loyola-Maryland Greyhounds claimed a 65-49 win over the Norfolk State Spartans in quarterfinal round action of the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Classic at Mohegan Sun Arena. Erik Etherly chipped in with 12 points, a game-high nine rebounds and three blocks for the Greyhounds (3-1), who advance in the Springfield bracket to face Albany on Sunday afternoon. Robert Olson and Tyler Hubbard rounded out Loyola's double-digit scorers with 11 points apiece. Pendarvis Williams paced the Spartans (2-2) with 14 points, while reserves Malcolm Hawkins and Rashid Gaston scored 12 and 11, respectively. Olson sparked a 12-1 first-half run for the Greyhounds with a pair of 3- pointers. Loyola closed out the opening half with an 8-0 spurt to take a 37-24 lead into intermission. The Greyhounds continued to play sound defense in the second stanza, limiting Norfolk State to 10-of-30 shooting from the field to secure the win. Loyola scored 22 points off 19 Spartans turnovers for the game.
