(Monday, December 31) Final Score: Oregon 56, Nevada 43 Eugene, OR (Sports Network) - Carlos Emory scored 13 points and pulled down seven rebounds as the Oregon Ducks held off the Nevada Wolf Pack, 56-43, in non-conference play at Matthew Knight Arena. Also scoring in double figures for the Ducks (11-2), as they won for the second straight game and sixth time in seven outings, were Tony Woods and Dominic Artis with 13 and 10 points, respectively. The Pack (9-5), winners of five straight heading into the contest, were paced by Deonte Burton with 12 points, but he shot only 4-of-17 from the floor and missed all four of his attempts behind the 3-point line. Jordan Burris was responsible for 11 points before fouling out, while Malik Story dropped in 10 points, but he managed to make just 2-of-10 on the perimeter. The Ducks opened the meeting on an 8-2 run and thanks to a stiff defense that held the visitors to a mere six made field goals and 0-of-10 behind the 3- point line in the period, Oregon led by a score of 25-14 at the break. Oregon began the second half on an 11-3 run and never looked back, forcing the visitors into just 3-of-13 shooting on the perimeter, en route to the double- digit decision. The Ducks made it into the win column despite shooting only 39.5 percent from the field and turning the ball over 20 times.
