Description: Devils backup goalie Scott Clemmensen played the third period against the Penguins on Tuesday and allowed three goals.

Description: Florida goaltender Scott Clemmensen will start Thursday at Boston.
Insight: Clemmensen started his first game of the season Saturday at Washington and lost 3-2 in a shootout. He'll continue to serve as Jacob Markstrom's backup until Tim Thomas returns.

Description: Florida goaltender Scott Clemmensen will man the crease Thursday against Buffalo.
Insight: Jose Theodore is a mess right now, giving up 13 goals over his last 161 minutes (4.84 GAA) and 42 on the season. Clemmensen hasn't been great either with a 3.62 GAA.
2/21/2013 9:37:00 PM
Description: Florida goaltender Scott Clemmensen made a surprise start Thursday and beat the Flyers with 32 saves on 34 shots.
Insight: Jose Theodore isn't injured and the Panthers recalled young goalie Jacob Markstrom on Wednesday so Clemmensen is the last guy we expected to see between the pipes Thursday. Despite Clemmensen's strong start on Thursday, Florida's poor defense makes any goaltender who starts for the Panthers a weak fantasy play.

Description: Florida Panthers backup goaltender Scott Clemmensen will get a start Tuesday against the Capitals.
Insight: The Panthers' defense has been horrific this season and it reached a low point Saturday at Washington when they gave up numerous easy opportunities. Starter Jose Theodore let in five goals in 49 minutes in the game before being pulled for Clemmensen. There's no way you can trust either player in fantasy leagues right now.

Description: Florida will start Scott Clemmensen Tuesday against the Jets.
Insight: The Panthers' goaltending situation was a game-time decision Tuesday. Clemmensen will make his second start of the season and first since Jan. 22.

Description: Florida will use Scott Clemmensen in goal on Tuesday versus Montreal.
Insight: Clemmensen will give Jose Theodore a rest for the first time this season. The veteran won 14 games with a 2.57 GAA and a .913 SV% last season.

Description: Scott Clemmensen stopped all 25 shots he faced in the Panthers' 6-0 win over Dallas on Tuesday. TSN
Insight: Clemmensen earned a shutout in his first start of the season. He didn't start until now because he missed the first month of the season following knee surgery. It looks as if Clemmer will challenge Jose Theodore for the starting job for the Panthers, who are playing better hockey than many expected.

Description: Scott Clemmensen is expected to be sidelined for the next four weeks following minor knee surgery. South Florida Sun-Sentinel
Insight: Jose Theodore's status as the Panthers' starting goalie will not be affected. However, prospect Jacob Markstrom may serve as Theodore's backup and may receive a look while Clemmensen is sidelined.

Description: Clemmensen stopped all 24 shots Thursday night for his first shutout of the season.
Insight: It was just his 24th appearance of the year. Clemmensen sports a solid .919 save percentage and 2.45 GAA for the season. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: Scott Clemmensen stopped all 24 shots he faced in the Panthers' 4-0 win over Toronto on Thursday. Yahoo Sports
Insight: The shutout was Clemmensen's first of the season and second in two seasons as a member of the Panthers. With the Panthers well out of the Eastern Conference race, expect Clemmer to see another start or two before the regular season is done.
2/20/2011 2:00:00 AM
Description: Clemmensen halted 34 of 36 shots Saturday to take the victory with Tomas Vokoun resting.
Insight: It's tough to ask for a much better backup goalie, as Clemmensen has only once allowed more than three goals in a game this season. His save rate stands slightly better than Vokoun's, while his 2.41 season GAA would rank 12th in the league -- and ahead of Vokoun -- if Clemmensen qualified. (RapidDraft.com)
11/27/2010 12:03:00 PM
Description: Clemmensen made only 16 saves in 3-0 loss to the Rangers on Friday.
Insight: Clemmensen lost his third straight start as he fell to 1-4 with a 3.19 GAA. (RapidDraft.com)
