Insight: Letang missed significant time last season after suffering a stroke in January, but he returned for the playoffs. Letang is one of the best offensive defenseman in the league, and even with the addition of Christian Ehrhoff, who could take some time away from Letang on the power play, Letang is a top-15 defenseman.

Insight: He may not play his usual 24 minutes a game but Letang is always a strong fantasy option when healthy. Even without playing the last two months, he's still tied for the team lead in goals by a defenseman (ten).

Insight: Letang was not limited in any way at practice, though some of his teammates were hesitant to be physical with him and he had to urge them to hit him because he wanted to get used to contact again.

Insight: Letang had a procedure to clean an open wound that appeared on Dec. 13. The defenseman was spotted with a cast, but it was only in place to prevent arm movement that could reopen the wound.
