Wild activate Harding off IR
Winnipeg, MB (SportsNetwork.com) - The Minnesota Wild activated goaltender Josh Harding from injured reserve on Friday.
Harding was placed on the list on Dec. 18 to give him time to adjust to new medication for multiple sclerosis.
The 29-year-old netminder was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in November of last year, but has been able to resume his career with minimal disruptions.
Harding has posted an 18-5-3 record with a league-low 1.51 goals-against average, while ranking second in the NHL in save percentage (.939) and shutouts (3).
The Wild also placed defenseman Clayton Stoner on injured reserve and recalled forward Stephane Veilleux from the Iowa Wild of the AHL.
Stoner has played in 36 games this season on the Minnesota blue line, where he has registered three assists and 35 penalty minutes.
