Stars send Sens to fifth straight loss

Ottawa, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - Jamie Benn scored in the second round of the shootout to lift the Dallas Stars over the Ottawa Senators, 4-3, on Sunday.

Ray Whitney, Valeri Nichushkin and Antoine Roussel scored in regulation for the Stars, who snapped a two-game skid. Kari Lehtonen stopped 33-of-36 shots.

Erik Karlsson, Jason Spezza and Bobby Ryan each had a goal and an assist for the Senators, who have lost five in a row for the first time since March 30- April 9 of last season.

Craig Anderson made 33 saves before leaving the game on a stretcher. Robin Lehner made two saves in overtime.
