Insight: This will be Splitter's only absence of the season. He averaged 10.3 points, 6.4 rebounds and 25 minutes, all career highs.

2/24/2013 8:05:00 PM
Description: San Antonio center Tiago Splitter injured his thigh Friday against the Warriors but it looks he's good to go for Sunday's matchup with Phoenix.
Insight: Splitter hasn't missed a game yet this season. He's averaging 9.1 ppg in seven career games versus the Suns.

1/30/2013 1:37:00 PM
Description: Spurs center Tiago Splitter should see a ton of minutes Wednesday with both Tim Duncan and DeJuan Blair sidelined by injury.
Insight: Splitter is averaging 11.6 ppg and 7.0 rpg in 25 starts this season and scored double-digit points in the Spurs' last 10 games.

Hot1/23/2013 10:54:00 PM
Description: Spurs center Tiago Splitter led the team with 25 points on 10-of-11 shooting with seven rebounds, one assist and two steals Wednesday against the Hornets.
Insight: Tim Duncan's absence likely had something to do with Splitter's scoring production on Wednesday but Splitter has been performing well even with Duncan in the lineup. In Splitter's last eight games, he is averaging 14.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.0 steals, 0.8 blocks and 0.6 turnovers.

1/10/2013 7:11:00 PM
Description: Spurs center Tiago Splitter is averaging 9.7 points on 52.9 percent shooting with 5.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.1 blocks per game in 14 games since becoming the full-time starter.
Insight: According to the San Antonio Express-News, San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich has no intention of removing Splitter from the lineup. "He's our guy," Popovich said. Unlike some centers, Splitter won't hurt your free-throw percentage (.800 over the last 14 games) or turnover margin (1.2 TOs).

11/29/2012 10:47:00 PM
Description: Spurs center Tiago Splitter scored 18 points with nine rebounds on 7-of-12 shooting Thursday against the Heat.
Insight: Splitter stepped into the starting lineup as coach Gregg Popovich rested Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Danny Green.

5/3/2012 7:52:00 PM
Description: Tiago Splitter is expected to play Saturday when San Antonio travels to Utah for Game 3 of their Western Conference playoff series. Splitter missed Game 2 because of a bone bruise on his left wrist.
Insight: Splitter has been limited to just 14 minutes of playing time in his last two games but he did notch 26 points against Phoenix last Wednesday.

5/2/2012 12:25:00 PM
Description: Tiago Splitter is doubtful for Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals Wednesday against Utah with a bone bruise in his left wrist.
Insight: Splitter is about as unpredictable as they come and because of it he's difficult to start in any fantasy situation. With the injury, it's best just to stay away and look elsewhere for your starting center. If Splitter doesn't dress, DeJuan Blair should log big minutes and could be a valuable fantasy asset.

4/29/2012 7:23:00 PM
Description: Tiago Splitter exited Sunday's game against Utah with a sprained right wrist. He'll have an MRI to determine how severe the injury is.
Insight: Consider Splitter (four points in seven minutes Sunday) questionable for Game 2 on Wednesday. If Splitter can't go, DeJuan Blair (five points, two rebounds on Sunday) should see an increased role.

3/28/2012 9:16:00 PM
Description: Tiago Splitter will make his return to the Spurs' lineup tonight against Sacramento. Splitter had missed the previous four games dealing with back spasms.
Insight: The Spurs have had a brutal schedule as of late (five games in six nights) so having a rested Splitter back in the lineup should be a huge asset. We expect Splitter and his fresh legs to stuff the stat sheet tonight for that reason.

3/23/2012 7:58:00 PM
Description: Tiago Splitter is dealing with back spasms and is unlikely to play tonight against the Mavericks.
Insight: Splitter looked fine Wednesday night (11 points, seven rebounds) so this scratch comes as a bit of a surprise. DeJuan Blair (9.3 ppg, 5.8 rpg) and Matt Bonner (7.2 ppg) should see more minutes tonight with Splitter on the sidelines.

3/26/2011 5:01:00 PM
Description: Splitter has gotten the starting nod since Tim Duncan sprained an ankle but hasn't amped up his production much.
Insight: Splitter hit all five of his shots Friday night but still finished with just 11 points and played only 23 minutes. He has at least grabbed seven rebounds in consecutive games, but he doubled that number in the outing before that. (RapidDraft.com)

12/23/2010 11:05:00 PM
Description: Splitter collected 11 points, grabbed five rebounds and blocked one shot in the loss to the Magic.
Insight: He's averaging just 11 minutes per game so far this season and is scoring just under five points per game as well. He's not worth owning at all in any format. (RapidDraft.com)

11/1/2010 8:02:00 PM
Description: After missing the preseason with a foot injury, Splitter is expected to make his NBA debut tonight.
Insight: The only thing holding him back from being a good fantasy option is that he's splitting time with DeJuan Blair and even then his minutes will be limited. He might have some value in deeper leagues, but wait to see what he does in his first few games before adding him off the waiver wire. (RapidDraft.com)

10/28/2010 1:02:00 PM
Description: Splitter may make his debut next week, according to the San Antonio Express-News.
Insight: Splitter will be eased into the lineup, but will eventually take DeJuan Blair's starting spot. He should be a good fit next to Tim Duncan. (RapidDraft.com)

10/11/2010 11:01:00 AM
Description: Splitter is still struggling with a strained plantar muscle and has not been on the court in the month of October. He may be out for another 10 days, according to the San Antonio Express-News.
Insight: Splitter looked good in the world basketball championship playing for Brazil. He could be a nice frontcourt complement to Tim Duncan if he can get healthy. (RapidDraft.com)
