Ko, Ryu stay put, Kerr jumps into top 10 in rankings

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Lydia Ko held off So Yeon Ryu to win last week's Marathon Classic and they both remained where they were in the world rankings, while Cristie Kerr's third-place finish was good enough to put her into the top 10 this week.

The 17-year-old Ko, winning her second event of the season, stayed put at No. 2 and Ryu is still the No. 9 player in the world. Kerr jumped one spot and is now at No. 10.

With the exception of Kerr, the top 10 did not have any change this week. Despite finishing nine shots back at 6-under at the Marathon Classic, Stacy Lewis is still at No. 1. She is followed by Ko, Inbee Park, Suzann Pettersen, Lexi Thompson, U.S. Women's Open champion Michelle Wie, Karrie Webb, Shanshan Feng, Ryu and Kerr.

Kerr replaced Anna Nordqvist at No. 10, while Nordqvist fell one spot to 11. The rest of the top 20 also stayed the same. Paula Creamer, Angela Stanford, Lizette Salas, Amy Yang, Jessica Korda, Catriona Matthew, Na Yeon Choi, Sun Ju Ahn and Azahara Munoz all rounded out the top 20 from No. 12.

Chae-Young Yoon ended a nine-year drought by winning the KLPGA's Jeju Samdasoo Masters last week. She skyrocketed 78 spots to No. 97 with the victory.
