Glen Cove, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Bethany Wu carded a 2-under 68 on Tuesday to claim medalist honors at the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship.

Wu ended the stroke-play portion of the tournament at 3-under-par 137.

First-round leader Su-Hyun Oh, one of last year's quarterfinalists, tripped to a 2-over 72 during her second round at Nassau Country Club to fall into a tie for second place with Andrea Lee (69) at 2-under 138.

Dylan Kim (68), Alison Lee (71), Megan Khang (72) and Celine Boutier (70) tied for fourth place at even-par 140.

Wu started on the back nine and opened her round with a birdie at the 10th. She gave that shot right back with a bogey at the 11th, but then birdied three of her next four holes to jump to 4-under.

After parring her next five holes, Wu birdied the par-3 third to reach minus-5.

She later fell back to 3-under with back-to-back bogeys at the seventh and eighth. She parred the ninth to end there.

Oh also started on the 10th tee and countered a bogey at the 12th with a birdie at the 14th to make the turn at 4-under.

She also recorded a pair of bogeys during her inward nine to finish at minus-2 as she dropped shots at the fourth and fifth.

Lee bounced back from an early double-bogey with three birdies during her second nine to earn her share of second place.

Defending champion Emma Talley (70) advanced to match play in a tie for 46th place at 6-over, while the final players to make it through will complete an 8-for-3 playoff when play resumes Wednesday at 7:15 a.m. ET.

Jackie Rogowicz, Elyse Smidinger and Malia Nam were all eliminated from the playoff before play was suspended for darkness. Mary Chandler Bryan, Lakareber Abe, Michelle Piyapattra, Haylee Harford and Mariana Sims will play for the final three places.

The championship will conclude with the 36-hole final on Sunday.
