 Louisville,  KY  (SportsNetwork.com) -  Alyssa Thomas poured  in 33 points and
 grabbed  13  rebounds as the  fourth-seeded Maryland Terrapins knocked off the
 top-seeded  Tennessee  Lady Volunteers 73-62  in the Sweet  16 at the KFC Yum!
 Center.
 
 Lexie Brown added 14 points for the Terrapins (27-6), who will face third-seed
 Louisville  in the  Elite Eight. Laurin Mincy chipped in 11 points and Tierney
 Pfirman tacked on 11.
 
 Meighan  Simmons tallied 31 points for the Lady Vols (29-6). Jasmine Jones had
 11  points  as the only other  player in double figures, while Bashaara Graves
 collected 14 rebounds and Isabelle Harrison hauled in 10.
 
 Although  Maryland  hit on only 37.5  percent from the floor (15-of-40) in the
 first half, it had 12 more field goal attempts than Tennessee, which connected
 on  just 32.1  percent  from  the floor  (9-of-28).  The  Terrapins used  that
 advantage to claim a 41-27 lead at the break.
 
 Maryland  led by  as many as 18 points  in the second half and held on for the
 victory by limiting the Lady Vols to 40 percent shooting.
 
 The  Terrapins  forced  22 turnovers  and  had  a  19-9  scoring edge  off  of
 those takeaways.
