Harbour Trees to host 2014 Women's Mid-Am

Far Hills, NJ (Sports Network) - The United States Golf Association announced Tuesday that Harbour Trees Golf Club will host the 2014 U.S. Women's Mid- Amateur Championship.

The championship is scheduled to take place Sept. 6-11 on the Pete Dye designed course in Noblesville, Ind. This will be the first USGA championship staged at Harbour Trees, which opened for play in 1973.

"Harbour Trees is delighted to have been chosen to host the 2014 U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur Championship and to work with the United States Golf Association," said Steve Baker, co-chairman of the Harbour Trees championship committee. "The opportunity to promote women's amateur golf and welcome the best female players in the country to our facility is a tremendous honor."

Meghan Stasi defeated Liz Waynick, 6 & 5, at this year's U.S. Women's Mid- Amateur Championship at Briggs Ranch Golf Club in San Antonio. It was the fourth time Stasi won the title.
