Final Score: Hawaii 48, UNLV 10

Honolulu, HI (Sports Network) - The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors rushed for 139 yards as a team and scored three touchdowns on the ground to run past the UNLV Rebels, 48-10, in Mountain West Conference action at Aloha Stadium.

Will Gregory (59 yards), Joey Iosefa (56 yards), and Sterling Jackson (42 yards) all scored rushing touchdowns for the Warriors (2-9, 1-7 MWC), who will close out their season next week against South Alabama. Sean Schroeder completed 13-of-24 passes for 201 yards and a touchdown.

For UNLV (2-11, 2-6), Nick Sherry completed just 17-of-43 pass attempts for 166 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions. Taylor Spencer (three receptions, 41 yards) was on the receiving end of the team's only touchdown.

The only score of the first quarter came five minute in when Iosefa rushed in a 25-yard touchdown to give Hawaii a 7-0 lead.

The Warriors extended their advantage early in the second quarter when Jackson scored on a one-yard rush. Schroeder tossed a seven-yard touchdown pass to Iosefa a few minutes later as their lead ballooned to 21-0.

Hawaii's defense got into the act late in the quarter when John Hardy-Tuliau intercepted a pass and returned it 38 yards for a touchdown. It would add one more score before the half was out on a 23-yard field goal by Tyler Hadden, and it took a commanding 31-0 advantage into intermission.

After another Hadden field goal in the third quarter (26 yards), the Warriors added a special teams touchdown early in the fourth quarter when Scott Harding returned a punt 69 yards for a score.

UNLV finally got on the scoreboard in the fourth quarter with a 43-yard field goal from Nolan Kohorst and a five-yard touchdown pass from Sherry to Spencer, but Hawaii added one more score for good measure late in the game on a Gregory 12-yard touchdown rush.

The Rebels put up just 203 yards of offense and went only 1-of-15 on their third down attempts.
