Wake Forest countered with less than two minutes remaining in the second half following another Price-to-Campanaro scoring connection, this time from 16 yards out, and it took a 21-7 lead into halftime.
The Eagles pulled off a trick play midway through the third quarter to make it 21-14 when wide receiver Bobby Swigert completed a 12-yard touchdown pass to Chris Pantale.
The Deacons brought their lead back to two scores later in the quarter on a 23-yard touchdown rush from Harris. Neither team would score in the fourth quarter as Wake Forest held on for the win.
