Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said after his team's 20-17 win that the All-Pro safety broke his left leg and will be placed on injured reserve.
Analysis: That should put an end to any trade rumors involving Thomas, who held out the entire preseason and skipped some recent practices due to displeasure over his contract that expires at the end of this season. It's probably likely the 29-year-old has played his final game in a Seattle uniform.

Carroll left open the possibility that the issue - that he wouldn't detail - could keep Thomas from playing Sunday in the team's home opener against the Cowboys.
Analysis: Thomas did not take part in practice on Wednesday either and was listed on the team's injury report as being out for non-injury reasons. He returned to practice on Thursday before missing the team's final practice of the week on Friday. Carroll confirmed that his absence had nothing to do with an injury.
