Evan Longoria3BRays third baseman Evan Longoria had an RBI-double in the first inning against the Red Sox on Monday. The Rays won, 5-1. Longoria was 1-for-4 in the game. He is hitting .273 with one home run and six RBI this season. Those numbers are alright, but owners would like more power from Longoria. 5/4/2015 10:38:00 PM
Jake OdorizziSPRays starter Jake Odorizzi pitched very well on Monday, allowing just one run in seven innings of work in a victory over the Red Sox.The Rays won, 5-1. Alex ColomeSPRays right-hander Alex Colome had a nice start, throwing shutout inning in Friday's, 2-0, victory over the Orioles.Colome allowed just three hits, struck out six and no walks. He only threw 60 pitches, but it was his first start of the season, so more than likely, Tampa Bay was just being cautious with the 26-year-old. Fantasy owners should keep an eye on him moving forward.5/1/2015 9:47:00 PM
Desmond JenningsCFRays center fielder Desmond Jennings is not expected to return to the lineup this weekend as originally thought.Jennings tweaked his left knee last Saturday and had is examined by a doctor on Thursday. We await the results, but he's in an unfavorable matchup Friday night anyway. 5/1/2015 11:06:00 AM
Evan Longoria3BRays third baseman Evan Longoria is 14-for-36 (.389) with six big homers against Baltimore starter Chris Tillman.Longoria is batting .293, but doesn't seem to have the home run power with just one long ball and seeven doubles. Perhaps this matchup will help him find his power stroke. 5/1/2015 9:45:00 AM

Jose IglesiasSSTigers shortstop Jose Iglesias departed Sunday's game with groin tightness and is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Chicago White Sox.Groins are slow to heal, so he could miss a game or two. Stay tuned. Iglesias is batting .354 this season, though he's usually stuck at the bottom of the Tigers strong lineup.5/5/2015 10:16:00 AM
Justin VerlanderSPTigers starter Justin Verlander will have another MRI on Tuesday according to FOX Sports.Verlander has already had two MRIs, but apparently the Tigers want an update. If there is improvement, Verlander could begin throwing, but owners should not expect Verlander to return in May.5/4/2015 6:04:00 PM

Victor MartinezDHTigers DH Victor Martinez has a .353 career BA against Jeremy Guthrie. It seems all of Detroit's big guns hit Guthrie well. J.D. Martinez hits .333, Miguel Cabrera hits .320, and Ian Kinsler is a .333 lifetime hitter against Kansas City's starting pitcher. It could be a big day for Tigers' hitters.5/3/2015 10:40:00 AM
David PriceSPTigers starter David Price threw a complete game Saturday versus Kansas City.Price allowed one run on four hits and did not walk a batter. He struck out two and is now 3-1 with a 2.93 ERA this season.5/2/2015 10:22:00 PM
J.D. MartinezOFTigers outfielder J.D. Martinez is getting the day off on Saturday.Martinez is just 8-for-39 over his past 10 games, so some rest could do him good. Anthony Gose will start in center with Rajai Davis getting the call in right.5/2/2015 3:43:00 PM
Miguel Cabrera1BIt's a rarity when Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera doesn't hit a pitcher well, but Friday's matchup is one of them. Cabrera is just 2-for-15 with five strikeouts versus the Royals Chris Young. He is hitting .373/.465/.627 with five home runs and 17 RBI in 83 at-bats this season.5/1/2015 9:58:00 AM
Victor MartinezDHTigers DH Victor Martinez had two hits in the, 8-1, loss to the Royals on Thursday.Martinez and Miguel Cabrera, who went 1-for-2 with two walks, that had solid at-bats versus Danny Duffy. Martinez was 0-for-9 in the previous two games, so it was nice to see Martinez get two hits Thursday, but he still doesn't seem like himself due to his knee issue. It shouldn't be a surprise if Martinez hit the disabled list at some point.4/30/2015 11:21:00 PM
